City of Goodyear City Center Development    Goodyear, AZ

Project Description:

The City Center is a mixed-use 200-acre development on the four corners of Yuma Rd. and Estrella Parkway that will become Goodyear’s downtown. The project includes an interactive mixed-use plan encompassing city government, public education, private offices, retail, multi-family residential and civic amenities. The plan houses city offices, a library, multi-generational community center, performing arts center, and a central civic park.

The City Hall is comprised of a transparent glass façade with a two-story lobby that connects the public to city services, as well as to the leadership of the City of Goodyear.  Visitor information, visitor elevators, public service counters, community conference center, Council Chambers, and the media studio are accessed from the two-story lobby.

The Library, adjacent to the City Hall, has a unique triangular shape.  The northeast facing reading room was designed to maximize daylighting.  The library includes spaces for multi-media displays and integrated study stations. The library features an indoor/outdoor cafe, computer terminals, self check-out kiosks, and children's reading area.

The multi-generational center includes a two-story lobby and houses an aquatics center and pool, gymnasium, fitness center, running track, playing courts and multi-function community rooms.
