Hilton San Diego Convention Center Hotel    San Diego, CA

Hilton San Diego Hotel

Project Description:

Phelps Development in partnership with Portman Holdings are co-developers for the new Hilton San Diego Convention Center Hotel. The $348 million hotel will consist of 1,200 guestrooms and specialty suites on a 13.77-acre waterfront site. The new 1,031,662 SF, 30-story hotel will house over 100,000 SF of meeting room space, with the largest ballroom having over 34,000 SF of meeting room space. The hotel will have a 300-seat restaurant, a 180-seat specialty restaurant / bar and an 80-seat lounge area.

The project is located on the San Diego Bay waterfront in downtown San Diego and is adjacent to the expanded San Diego Convention Center, and immediately across from the recently opened San Diego Padres PETCO Baseball Park. The project is also in close proximity to the entrance of San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter Entertainment District and will serve as the primary headquarters hotel for the San Diego Convention Center. The hotel's design fully incorporates the prime location of the site by maximizing water view from guestrooms and public spaces, as well as creating direct waterfront access for the restaurant and retail components.

Phelps Development and Portman Holdings are responsible for complete turnkey delivery of the hotel, including design, construction, installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment, and operating supplies in order to deliver a complete hotel ready for opening.
